Missing Oklahoma Woman Found

Captain Travis Crawford with the Pauls Valley, Okla., Police Department says 21-year-old Lisa Needham, who had been missing since Feb. 27 was found safe early Wednesday.

Deputies in Garvin County, Oklahoma, were concerned for the mentally handicappted woman's safety after reports that she'd been seen hitch hiking in Sallisaw Monday. Garvin County Sheriff Larry Rhodes said the woman has the mental capacity of a child and was without her medication.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Needham has cerebral palsy and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, or ADHD, as well.

Needham walked away from her residence south of Stratford, Okla., 75 miles south of Oklahoma City, around 1 a.m. Monday. Witnesses later saw her hitching a ride to Shawnee with a trucker from the Wynnewood area.

Investigators believe she then hitched a ride to Sallisaw.
